Carling Communications Executive Vice President/CFO Lisa Pecora Named Finalist for 'CFO of the Year'

SAN DIEGO, CALIF., Feb. 25, 2016 — Lisa Pecora, executive vice president and CFO of Carling Communications, Inc., has been named as a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s CFO of the Year Awards 2016.
As a partner, Lisa has financial responsibility for the largest privately held pharmaceutical advertising agency in Southern California. She has increased the company’s financial success by developing a new project management team to drive efficiency in workflow and reduce rework and waste; reduced operating expenses by building in-house accounting and human resources teams; optimized the company’s capital structure by securing new financing to support aggressive growth initiatives; and lowered turnover by initiating improvements in interviewing practices that have allowed the company to hire smarter and then focus on training and development to position employees for success. During her two years at Carling, she has streamlined and modernized operations throughout the company.
She was also instrumental in the construction and design of Carling’s new 20,660 square foot office in one of the most iconic buildings in San Diego, 5th & Laurel in Bankers Hill. The space was designed to further contribute to the growth and success of the company by fostering seamless collaboration and inspiring creativity, giving employees a workplace they can be proud of.

On top of this, Lisa has also led organizing for charitable efforts at Carling. These have included leading a group of employees in supporting the Armed Forces YMCA Thanksgiving meal and holiday toy programs and heading up toy drives for Traveling Stories, which aims to help improve literacy rates before fourth grade.
